lunchtime visitation

If I'm not mistaken, Chuck will be Harleying his way over here today (with Lori?) in time for lunch. We're two large, hungry guys, Chuck and I, and if Walla Walla isn't a smoking wasteland by the time we finish demolishing our meals, it'll be a miracle. Don't be surprised if you see the results of our lunch on the news-- half-eaten buildings and pets, chunks of asphalt littering manicured lawns... and every motorcycle polished and tuned to perfection.

This is appropos of pretty much nothing, but I'm in the middle of a book I think you should get hold of: "Beyond Tolerance: Searching for Interfaith Understanding in America", by Gustav Niebuhr. Not only do I think you'll find it good reading and right up your alley, but he cites organizations and research that might help you hook into some of those religious conversations that you are seeking. If Walla Walla doesn't have it, you'll be there long enough to get it from Amazon (or Powell's, if you prefer to give your business to a smaller corporate entity.)

Sounds like a winner, A. Thanks!

I'll add it to my already-huge Amazon Wish List.

Although there were alot of detours due to road repair, the streets were safe from the two of you.lol

No smoking wasteland, or half-eaten buildings. Even the pets were safe.

Your creativity and imagination is what's polished and tuned to perfection.

You definitely make a difference in this life. Thanks for sharing with us.
